54.5: Thank you for being a...DC PAL

Hey there,

I would like to give this time to give thanks to all the DC PALs out there, by sharing this video.

More than any production I've been involved with, the work that everyone is involved in constantly inspires me in my own.

So thank you for being a part of this little corner of FB, as well as what is (in my opinion), one of the most diverse, active, & engaged community of artists in the country.

That being said, even though we're just wrapping up 2011, if you're like me, you're already planning well into 2012.

So, with that, here are a couple of opportunities for those working on creating, developing or presenting new work:

*Artists' Bloc Submissions
*Capital Fringe Submisisons

*Potential Happenings
*Present Happenings
*Ephemeral Happenings

Artists' Bloc Submissions - GET YOUR WORK SEEN AND HEARD!

"Artists' Bloc is now accepting submissions of works-in-development to be shown at ARTISTS' BLOC AT ARTISPHERE, and exciting week of arts events in late January.

If you're interested in receiving artist and audience feedback on a creative project -- whether it's a draft of a play, a dance or music piece, or even just the beginnings of an idea -- send an email to hstyles@artistsbloc.org and we'll forward you the application.

Application deadline is December 9. Get an app, think it over, and send us your ideas!"

Applications for the 2012 Fringe Festival, July 12 - 29

"The Capital Fringe Festival is a self-producing festival, where established and emerging artists can present their work free of a selection process. For some of you applying it may be a once-a-year opportunity, and for others, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create, produce and perform a show."
